Over the last few years I have been fortunate enough to have visited many fascinating countries.
Places and Faces was work that I exhibited at the end of my studio residency at Warringah Creative Space.
I have painted the horizons of the Samburu and Masai Mara in Kenya, and the waterways and rivers of Cambodia and Myanmar in oil and wax.
I have returned from theses trips with many photographic images of the people I have met, and these have become my drawings. After returning from Borneo I found that my images and faces were of the gentle forest people, the orang-utan.
